KCS - Why isn't the Interest Added to the Bill?

 

Objective:

  • Why aren't Interest charges being calculated on my past due Invoice?
  • Why are my Bills not accruing Interest?
  • Interest not on Bill.
  •  If you apply a payment profile with interest to a client (contact) after an invoice has already been generated, will the interest be applied to outstanding balances going forward?

  • Bills

Additional Information:

N/A

Answer:

  • Clio automatically calculates and applies the appropriate Interest on all Bills daily (at midnight, when the date changes) and backdated Bills will be updated to include the correct amount of Interest when that happens.
  • Updating a Clients Payment Profile only affects Bills generated after the change. If you want to charge Interest on a Bill generated prior to that change, click HERE.
