KCS - Leads are not Converting to Clients

Issue:

  • Lead conversion 
  • Client creation 
  • Campaign Tracker lead tracking 

Environment:

  • Clio Web App 

Additional Information:

n/a

Cause:

  • The Lead/Contact has no Matter assigned to it. Converting a Lead to a Contact does not add a new client to the campaign. 
  • The Lead/Contact has a Matter, but the Matter is in a pending state. Update the Matter State to Open. 

Resolution:

Add a Matter to the Contact 

  1. Locate the Contact 
  2. Open the Contact 
  3. Select New 
  4. Fill out the necessary fields 
  5. Select Save New Matter 

Update the State of the Matter  

  1. Locate the Matter 
  2. Open the Matter
  3. Select Edit 
  4. Update the Status field to Open 
  5. Select Save Matter
