How do I Send a Bill via Email?

Objective:

  • Send invoice with a Client through email
  • Send Bills to my Clients
  • How to send invoices using email

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

The Contact must have a valid Primary Email Address in Clio for the Bills to be sent successfully. 

The Contact will receive an email with a PDF attachment of the Bill. If you are set up with Clio Payments, they will also have a Pay Bill link option within the email.

Procedure:

  1. Go the main Bills tab
  2. Locate the Bill you want to share
  3. Click Send on the desired Bill
  4. In the Contact field, start typing the name of the desired Contact and select them from the dropdown that appears
  5. Select Send via Email
  6. Add Message (optional)
  7. Click Send Bill
