KCS - Unable to Select Trust when Recording a Payment in New Clio for Matter with Funds in Trust

Issue:

  • Unable to pay from Trust for some Bills in some accounts in new Clio

Cause:

Not yet diagnosed

Workaround: 

  1. Open the Contact belonging to the Matter 
  2. Select the Bills tab on the Contact page 
  3. Locate the Bill 
  4. Select the Record Payment blue text below the Bill 
  5. Change the Source to Trust 
  6. Ensure the correct Source balance Type is selected either Client or Matter
  7. Select Receive Payment
