KCS - Why Aren't the Custom Fields I Created Available when I Create or Edit a Matter or a Contact?

Objective:

  • Where did my Custom Fields go?
  • I can't find the Custom Fields that I created. Where are they?

Answer:

Custom fields can be created for either Matters or Contacts. Custom fields created for Matters won't be available for Contacts, and vice versa.

As an Administrator, go to Settings > Custom Fields > Matter Custom Fields or Contact Custom Fields to determine which type they are.
