KCS - Why Can't I Check Off a Custom Field to be Default?

Objective:

  • Check a Custom Field to be Default

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

  • Once a Custom Field has been set to Default, it will automatically be available to populate when creating or editing a Contact or Matter.

Answer:

  • Rather than placing your cursor over the Contact or Matter Custom Field Default check box, use the Edit hyperlink to open the Edit Custom Field window. You will then be able to place a check mark beside Default and Save the new setting.
