If you would like payment history with the description to appear on Bills for your Client's reference, see HERE.
Go to the Transactions sub-tab within the Matter in New Clio and you will see a dedicated Description column.
If you generate the Bank Account Activity Report, this will also show what was added to the Description field on a Recorded Payment with the associated Invoice and payment date.
Client Ledger Report generated as a CSV will also show this.
