Conflict Searching

Clio offers comprehensive conflict searching capability using the global search field. This can be a powerful tool in completing Conflict Checks. This field searches virtually all of the text-editable fields within Clio, and produces a mini-report detailing all of the locations where a potential source of conflict has been identified based on the content of the query.

How it works is every time you create a person or relationship (adverse party, opposing counsel, witness), that contact will be stored in your Clio account. Using the global search, you can check whether or not a prospective client has ever interacted with your firm in the past.

The contents of the notes you input into Clio are also parsed by the global search, which can aid in conflict checking.
