When you log into the Clio iOS app, your five most recently updated Matters are displayed on the Home screen.
Tapping on the Matters tab at the bottom of the screen displays a full list of your Matters.
When you are working with a specific Matter and you navigate away to another area of the app, tapping on the Matters tab will return you to the Matter screen you were last working on. Double tapping on the Matters tab will display the full list of your Matters.
To filter the Matters list, tap on the "Filters" button at the top left of the Matters screen. On the Filters screen, select the criteria by which you want to filter your Matters, then tap the "Apply" button.
To the right of each Matter are three circles that, when tapped, reveal the quick entry menu. This allows you to quickly add a Time entry, Calendar entry, Task or Note to the Matter.
When you tap on a Matter you will see the Matter Details. If you have any Custom Fields, they will show here as well.
The Timeline is equivalent to the Matter Firm Feed and actions that have taken place on the Matter can be viewed here.
When viewing a Matter, tap the "Menu" button to access all information linked to Matter. The options in this menu correspond to the Matter sub-tabs that you find in the full desktop version of Clio.

To edit a Matter, tap on the "Edit" link at the top of the screen.
Tap on any field to edit it.
Additionally, you can tap on "Choose Optional Fields" at the bottom of your screen to add additional fields, including any of your Matter Custom Fields.
When you are finished making your changes you can tap on the "Save" link to save your changes.
While you are in the Edit screen you will see the ability to Delete a Matter.
Please note that a Deletion is a permanent action. You may be able to recover the Matter via the Recover Bin in the desktop application.
To create a new Matter, tap on the "+" icon at the bottom right of the screen.
Next, tap "Matter" in the menu.
In the new Matter form, you will see fields where you can enter in information and any default Custom Fields you’ve set up in Clio will appear. You can tap on "Choose Optional Fields" at the bottom of the screen to populate additional fields in your new Matter.
When creating a new Matter or editing an existing Matter through the iOS app you have the ability to specify the desired "Billing Method": hourly, flat, or contingency. For details, please view the iOS App: Billing article.
