Removing the "DRAFT" and "VOID" Watermarks

You have the option of removing the "DRAFT" and "VOID" watermarks from your bills in your Bill Themes. 

To do so, go to your Clio Settings panel and click "Billing" in the Clio Settings column. On the Billing Settings screen, click the "Bill Themes" sub-tab then click on the image of the theme you would like to modify. Finally select the "Watermark" option in the first box.

Adding a Logo to Bills

Go to Settings > Billing > Bill Settings.

From here you can choose the logo file from your computer and upload it to Clio.  Once you do so, your logo will appear on your bills.  Logos may optionally be set to accompany or replace the text of the firm name on the bill header.  Ideal logo dimensions have a ratio of 5.5 units of width for each unit of height, however the system will attempt to appropriately size the image to fit according to standard bill dimensions. Acceptable logos are encoded in JPEG, PNG or GIF formats and should not exceed 2 megabytes in size.

Showing the Trust Account Balance

In the Bill Theme options, click on "Statement of Accounts" then "Client Account" and choose if you want to show Account Details or Account Summary:

Account Details will give line by line record of all debits and credits to the trust account, whereas Account Summary is a one-line balance total of the funds you are holding in trust.

If you want to only show transactions that are specific to the Matter(s) being billed, check the box beside "Only show Trust amounts for Matters on the bill".

Modifying Basic Bill Appearance

You can make a number of customizations directly on the bill.

To change the theme that is applied to a bill, open the bill then click on the "Select Theme" button in the bill preview. For more information, click HERE

Clicking the "Show Theme Controls" button will allow you to select an alternate client address, and add bill specific Summary and Footer notes. 

Managing the Firm Contact Information that Appears on Bills

The firm address, email, phone number, fax number, website can either be shown or hidden on your bills. To specify what firm information appears on your bills, you will have to modify your Bill Theme. For more information, click HERE.
