Using Google Translate with Clio

When working with Clio you may wish to see the language displayed (English) to be translated to another language. This could be to assist a bi-lingual attorney in your firm, or when designing documentation for a client who is more comfortable viewing information in another language.

A tool that can be integrated with your browser to accomplish this is Google Translate. To find the Google Translate plug-in, first access your Chrome browser, and search "Google Translate" in the Chrome Store. You can also visit this link.

Once you are brought to the Google Translate tool, select "Add To Chrome".

Select "Add extension".

Once added you will see the Google Translate icon at the upper right of the page, and you will see "Add To Chrome" has changed to "Added To Chrome".

Return to a page within Clio. For example, the Practice Dashboard (home) page.

At the upper right of the page, select the Google Translate icon. Then, click on "Translate This Page".

At the upper left you will see "Translated to: English". Click on the downward arrow and select your preferred language.

Now you will see the page you are viewing in Clio has been updated to translate to your preferred language.

You can try this on other pages in Clio as well. When you visit a new page, select the Translate tool once more, and it will remember your preferred language.
