KCS - Issue: Activity Categories are not Available When Trying to Add Time for Some New Users

Issue:

  • Some new Users don't have access to Activity Descriptions

  • Clio Web App

Cause:

Workaround:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Choose GroupsPermissions, and Job Titles
  3. Click Add
  4. Enter a Group Name (e.g., "Test")
  5. Click Save
  6. Click Edit for that Group
  7. Under Users, select the new user
  8. Click Update Group
  9. Go to Activities
  10. Select Activity categories
  11. Click Add activity category
  12. Enter a Name (e.g., "Test")
  13. Under Permissions groups, choose the new Group that you created
  14. Click Save category
  15. Go back to Activities
  16. Click Add time
  17. Select the new user
  18. Check the Activity category list to see if it now populates
