KCS - Why Is There A Transition Period With A Migration?

Objective:

  • Why do i have to wait to use my Clio Account when Migrating?
  • Can I start using Clio straight away if I get a Migration

Transition periods can take longer depending on the volume of data, but also the complexity. 

Answer:

The reason there is a transition period from your previous practice management to Clio is because depending on data complexity and questions the Migrations team may have pertaining to a data there needs to be a transition period.

This period is also to ensure that any data we are capable of migrating is imported to Clio correctly. Clio's standard transition period from the moment we receive the data, and consult, on it is five business days. If it is anticipate that this period may be longer then our standard service time a member of the migrations team will address this with you.
