Why Can't I Use the Outlook Add-In on my Shared Outlook Account?

Objective:

  • User cannot use the Clio Outlook Plugin with their shared accounts in Outlook

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Outlook Online
  • Outlook Desktop

Additional Information:

Error: "You cannot perform this action. This add-in scenario is not supported in this folder."

Answer:

In order for the Clio Outlook add-in to work, the account must be the default account. The Outlook plugin is disabled for shared accounts.
