KCS - Trust Amount on Matter Dashboard Doesn't Match Amount in Trust Account

Issue:

  • The trust amount on the Matter Dashboard doesn't match the amount in the Matter trust account.

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

n/a

Cause:

  1. Matter A - add transaction for full amount of deposit
  2. Create Matter B
  3. Edit transaction in Matter A, so it is less than the full amount of the deposit
  4. Matter B - add a transaction for the rest of the deposit

Resolution:

  1. Go to the Contact card associated to the Matter
  2. Click Transactions
  3. Click Edit under the first transaction > don't change anything > click Save
  4. Repeat step 3 for the second transaction
