KCS - Issue: Bill does not move to Paid when a Discount or edit is applied that brings the amount owing below zero

Issue:

  • Bill does not move to Paid when a Discount or edit is applied that brings the amount owing below zero

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

A Bill or Trust Request with a partial payment on it will not be moved into "paid" state if a discount is applied or an edit is made such that the total awaiting payment is reduced to zero.

Cause:

Not yet diagnosed

Workaround:

  1. In the upper right of the screen, toggle to previous Clio
  2. Locate the Trust Request or Bill
  3. Click Edit
  4. Enter in desired reduction (e.g. discount/removing line item, etc.)
  5. Click Save
