KCS - How To Create a Custom Field Set

Objective:

  • Group Custom Fields

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

  • Before creating a Custom Field Set, make sure custom fields for either contacts or matters have been created.
  • For information on creating a custom field for contacts, click here
  • For information on creating a custom field for matters, click here

Procedure:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on Custom Fields.
  3. Select either Contact Custom Fields or Matter Custom Fields (for Clients or Matters respectively).
  4. Click on Field Sets.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Fill out the Name of the Custom Field Set.
  7. In the Custom Fields box, select the Custom Fields that are to be added to the Set.
  8. If required, check the Default box to add this Field Set to every new Contact/Matter by default.
  9. Click Save.
