KCS - Why is the Description Column Blank in my Activities Export?

Objective:

  • Generate an Export in CSV format of Activities from Clio

Answer:

  • If you have confirmed that there is text in the original Description field of a Time or Expense Entry but you do not see the data onscreen in the exported CSV, ensure that the Description column is expanded with text wrapping enabled. It is probable that extra hard returns or spaces cause the cell(s) to appear as if they are blank.
