Why Does the Client Clio Payment Email Show a Balance of $0.00 When There is Still a Balance on the Invoice?

Objective:

  • Why does the Clio Payment Email show a zero dollar balance when the is still an amount outstanding on the Bill

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Clio Payments

Additional Information:

  • Authorized Clio Payments usually show up on the invoice and in your bank account around 2 business days depending on your bank

Answer:

The Client has authorized the payment but the bank has not yet completed the transaction. You can check by going into the specific invoice and clicking the Clio Payments tab to see if a payment has been authorized.
