When a User Deletes a Matter Associated With a Trust Request, Clio Payments Are Unable to Be Applied

Issue:

  • Clio Payment does not apply to Matter Trust Request after Matter Deleted

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • n/a

Cause:

  • This occurs when a Matter Trust Request is paid via Clio Payments, and then the Matter associated with the Bill is deleted. Clio is unable to apply the payment to a Bill that no longer has a Matter.

Workaround:

  1. Recover the Deleted Matter (see here)
  2. Contact Clio Support (see here)
