How To Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Objective:

  • Turn off 2FA.
  • Disable 2FA for a user who has lost access to their account.

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • Only a Firm Administrator or the Primary Subscriber can disable 2FA on a user's account.
  • A Firm Administrator must have 2FA enabled on their own account first.
  • A Firm Administrator cannot disable 2FA on the Primary Subscriber's account.

Procedure:

A Firm Administrator or the Primary Subscriber can disable 2FA for a user who has lost access to their Clio account.

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Firm Security.
  2. Under Action click Disable 2FA.
  3. Confirm that you want to disable 2FA for this account by checking the box.
  4. Click Disable 2FA.
