Changing Google My Business Verification Card

Question:

  • How do I change the details on my Google My Business verification card if I inputted the wrong contact name?
  • Will my Google My Business account be verified successfully if I addressed the verification card to the wrong contact person or company?

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • Requesting a new verification card does not invalidate the previous one, thus users can use the first verification card without needing to wait for the second one to arrive.
  • Doing so will:

    • Unauthenticate your Google My Business account
    • Disassociate your "location" with your Clio Manage account
  • Please note that in doing so, your location will still exist in Google My Business, but will not be associated with Clio Manage, thus allowing you to authenticate with Google and go through the integration process from the beginning, allowing you to choose a pre-existing location or create one from scratch.

Answer:

The Attn: [customer name] field found in the verification steps in the Google My Business integration process in Google or Clio is only for mailing purposes, and should in no way limit verification in Google My Business.

If you'd like to undo the Google My Business integration with Clio instead, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Settings page
  2. Click on Google My Business
  3. Click "Sign out" in the upper right corner
