"Error: Payment Failed to Process; Card Was Declined" When Processing Payment


  • Payment failed to process error when entering Client's credit card number


  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:


  • Card is being declined
  • LawPay settings


The Client may also need to contact their bank to find out why their card is being declined.


Check LawPay settings:

  1. Log in to LawPay
  2. Click on your name in the upper-right and select Developers
  3. Select Authorize Application
  4. Select the application Clio (Legacy)
  5. Select Authorize Application
  6. Retry the payment
