PieSync creates automatic, bi-directional syncs of your contacts between Clio and many of your favorite cloud-based apps.
Through an easy set up process, you set the conditions for your syncs and define actions that will help you:
- Keep your contact information up-to-date at all times across all your apps
- Save hours of billable time for you and your team
- Avoid potential errors that accompany repeat data input
- Boost your productivity
Every time you add or update a contact in Clio, it is automatically synced with the other app, and vice versa— eliminating the need to import/export contact information or manually enter data multiple times.
A list of all of PieSync's supported apps can be found at www.piesync.com/connections/.

Once you've signed up for a PieSync account, you will be able to select the apps that you want to connect (including Clio). Use the provided search bar to find the apps that you want to connect. Once you select the first app, you will be able to select the second app.
Next, you will authorize PieSync to connect to your chosen apps so that PieSync can fetch your contacts' data. Instructions for connecting each app to PieSync are available on the PieSync Support Center.
When connecting Clio to PieSync, you must select the Clio server that houses your Clio account: North America (app.clio.com) or EU (app.goclio.eu).
Next, you will be prompted to authorize the connection by clicking the "Yes, Let's Connect" button (If you are not already logged in to your Clio account, you will be prompted to log in before you can connect).
You only have to complete the authorization process the first time that you connect an app to PieSync.
Configuring your sync with PieSync requires that you set conditions, actions, and specify connection settings. Detailed instructions on how to complete the configuration steps can be found on the PieSync Support Center.
When connecting Clio to PieSync, you are able to specify conditions where a Contact will only sync if a Contact field contains a certain value. This includes Contact Custom Fields.
You are also able to specify which Contact fields are automatically updated with new information in the connected app.
When connecting two apps, you need to match up (or "map") contact fields between your chosen apps.
By default, PieSync will match up common fields. Here is an example of how PieSync matches contact fields between Clio and Google Contacts:
You are also able to match up you Clio Contact Custom Fields to fields available in the connected apps. Click the "+ Add field mapping" button for more options.
At this time, PieSync does not sync over contact deletions. This means that deleting a Contact in Clio will not automatically delete that Contact in the connected app (and vice versa).
If you are using PieSync to connect apps other than Clio, the ability to sync deletions may be available. See the Pie Sync Support Center for more information.
