How to Add or Change a Company or Contact's Payment Profile

Objective:

  • Update Contact or Company's Payment Profile
  • Assign different Payment terms to a client
  • Apply Payment Profile to a Contact
  • Select Payment Profile for a Client
  • Add Payment Profile
  • How to edit a Clients payment profile
  • How to update a Contacts payment profile

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

Note: Changing a Payment Profile affects Bills on a go-forward basis.

  • To apply a different Payment Profile to an existing Bill, see here

Procedure:

  1. Navigate to the Contact or Company
  2. Select the blue Edit button
  3. Change the Payment Profile drop-down within the Billing Preference section
  4. Select Save Contact
