KCS - How to change a Company or Contact's Payment Profile

Objective:

  • Update Contact or Company's Payment Profile
  • Assign different Payment terms to a client
  • Apply Payment Profile to a Contact
  • Select Payment Profile for a Client

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

Please note that this will not change the Payment Profile for the Clients Bills that are currently generated. The new Payment Profile will be in effect for Bills created for this client going forward. The previous Bills will continue to follow the Payment Profile that was set when they had been generated.

Procedure:

  1. Navigate to the Contact or Company
  2. Select the blue Edit button
  3. Change the Payment Profile drop-down under Contact Billing
  4. Select Update Person or Company
