The new Clio experience includes an enhanced "Accounts" page, which enables you to easily keep track of your firm's operating and trust funds. The workflows for adding and moving funds have also been improved to be more efficient and straightforward.

Adding Transactions
Transferring Funds
The new "Bank Accounts" screen displays an updated table design with the ability to show or hide which columns are displayed.
Opening an account ledger presents an updated transactions table with improvements to clarity and greater ease of use.
- Transfer Funds and New Transaction - Adding funds to a Contact or Matter, and transferring funds between Matters or Accounts, has been split into two separate buttons
- "Funds out" and "Funds in" - The old "Debit" and "Credit" table headers have been renamed "Funds out" and "Funds in" for greater clarity
The "New transaction" window has been updated so that the most important fields are nearer to the top of the window.
Transferring funds (between bank accounts or between Matters for a single client) has been simplified so that it's very clear where your funds are going.
Transferring Funds Between Bank Accounts
From the "Transfer funds" window, to transfer funds between bank accounts:
- Ensure "Between bank accounts" is selected
- Enter a client in the "Client" field. This displays additional fields (Matter, Source, Destination, Amount)
- Fill in the relevant fields
- Click "Record transfer"
Transferring Funds Between Matters
From the "Transfer funds" window, to transfer funds between Matters:
- Ensure "Between matters" is selected
- Enter a client in the "Client" field. This displays additional fields (Source Matter, Destination Matter, Amount, Description)
- Fill in the relevant fields
- Click "Record transfer"
