KCS - How to Add a User

  • Settings > Manage Users

Additional Information:

  • Only Administrators and Account Owners will be able to add and remove users within the account
  • For Clio accounts with an Annual Subscription plan you must add a license to the account first by following the steps listed here
  • Users will be fully enabled once they have accepted the email invitation that was sent to them


  1. Select the gear icon to access your account's Settings
  2. Select Manage Users
  3. Select the green Add button on the right hand side
  4. Populate the Email field for the user that will be added
  5. Select Attorney or Non-Attorney under Subscriber Type
  6. Enter a Message(optional)
  7. Assign them to a Group(optional)
  8. Apply Permissions to the new user(optional)
  9. Select Send Invite
