How to Add a Payment to a Trust Request

Objective:

  • Receive payment for a Trust Request bill
  • Apply payment to a Trust Request invoice
  • How to receive retainer fees paid towards a Trust Request

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

This procedure applies to manual payments only.

Procedure:

  1. Go to the Client's/Matter's page and select the Bills sub-tab
  2. Locate the Trust Request Invoice and select ID number to View Trust Request
  3. Click on More actions
  4. Record Payment
  5. Select the Source at the top
  6. Select the Destination
  7. Enter the Payment amount
  8. Click on the Record payment button (or Billing information, if you chose Credit Card as the Source)
