KCS - Who has the ability to create Custom Fields?

Objective:

  • Control who can create Custom Fields
  • Ensure that only certain firm members can create Custom Fields
  • Understand why I can't see Custom Fields in Settings

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Settings

Additional Information:

Non-Administrators can apply individual Custom Fields as well as Custom Field Sets that already exist to Matters and Contacts, but cannot create, edit or delete them. If they go to the Settings menu they won't see "Custom Fields" as an option. If a User wants full access to this feature they will need to have either the Account Owner or another Administrator User grant them Administrator Permissions. 

Answer:

Only Users with Administrator Permissions can create Custom Fields.
