KCS - How to Create Custom Fields for Contacts

Objective:

  • Add additional information to the Contact

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Custom Fields 
  • Contact

Additional Information:

Custom Fields are available to Legacy, Loyalty, Boutique, and Elite subscribers.

Only Administrators on the Account can add Custom Fields.

Procedure:

  1. Click the settings gear icon 
  2. Custom Fields
  3. Click Contact Custom Fields > Individual Fields
  4. Click Add
  5. Fill out the Name field and select a Type
  6. Check the Default box to display the field automatically when creating or editing Contacts
  7. Check the Required box to make filling out the field mandatory
  8. Click Save
