How to Clear Browser Cache in Google Chrome

Objective:

Environment:

  • Google Chrome
  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

If you are seeing different windows in Clio appearing disproportionally such as the Calendar appearing in a weird format, or Time Entry windows looking broken, you should try clearing your cache. 

Disclaimer: Clearing your cache may delete the browser's 'AutoFill' and "Password" data. If you use this to autofill your login credentials for web pages, please ensure you save your passwords and other information elsewhere before clearing your browser's cache.

Procedure:

  1. Click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of Chrome
  2. Then click More > More Tools > Clear Browsing Data 
  3. In the Clear Browsing Data box, click the checkboxes for Cookies and Other Site Data and Cached images and files
  4. Choose All Time to delete everything
  5. Click Clear Browsing Data
  6. Quit Chrome entirely for the cache clear to complete

For previous (older) versions of Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the red arrow icon in the top right-hand corner of Chrome
  3. Then click More Tools > Clear Browsing Data 
  4. In the Clear Browsing Data box, click the checkboxes for Cookies and Other Site Data and Cached images and files
  5. Choose All Time to delete everything
  6. Click Clear Browsing Data
  7. Quit Chrome entirely for the cache clear to complete
