How to Record a Credit Card Payment

Objective:

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Clio Payments

Additional Information:

Procedure:

  1. Click Billing on the left-hand side of the screen
  2. Locate the Bill in question (Use Filters on the right to assist in searching)
  3. Choose Record Payment from the dropdown under the Actions column
  4. From the Source drop-down, select Credit Card
  5. Adjust the Payment amount if your client is not paying their full Bill
  6. Fill out all other fields accordingly
  7. Click the Billing Information button at the bottom left
  8. Fill out the Billing Details window
  9. Click Review Payment and review the payment details to ensure they are correct
  10.  Click Complete Payment
