A Direct Payment is a payment made by cash, cheque or credit card from a client. You would record a Direct Payment on a Bill if the client did not have funds outstanding in their Trust account.
A Direct Payment should not be manually recorded for Credit Card payments made via Clio Connect because this record would automatically be generated when payment was processed.
