Why are the Billed Amounts Different Between the Revenue Report and the Fee Allocation Report?

Objective:

  • Can't Reconcile Revenue and Fee Allocation Report

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

n/a

Answer:

  1. The Revenue Report populates the data historically. This means it will reflect the status the information was in for the date range that you have chosen when generating the Report.

The Fee Allocation Report is not historical. Therefore, it is going to populate the results based on their current status, at the time that you generate the report.

  2. Overpayments are not included as Billed Time Collected on the Fee Allocation Report, and not included on the Revenue Report
  3. Interest is excluded from Billed Time Collected on the Fee Allocation Report, but included on the Revenue Report
  4. Tax is included as Billed Time Collected on the Fee Allocation Report, and is a separate column on the Revenue Report
  5. Bills with no Client/Matter are included as Billed Time Collected on the Fee Allocation Report, and excluded from the Revenue Report
