What are Activity Posts?

Objective:

  • Bill in a different Practice Management software and need activity posts
  • Export Time Entries to PCLaw

Environment:

  • Clio Web app

Additional Information:

Activity posts are not the same as an Activities Export. Creating an Activity posts will mark Activities so that you cannot generate another post for them in the future. You will also get an error if you try to edit or delete the Activity.

Activities that are posted from Clio will remain as "Unbilled" and can still be added to a bill in Clio.

Answer:

Activity Posts are the ability to export all unposted time entries in CSV format. Once a time entry is exported, it is marked as posted internally and will not be included in any future exports.

You are also able to set filters to limit the Activities that are exported. These can be used to import into PCLaw.

Activity posts can be created in Clio here.
