Note: The LawPay Integration is only available for credit card transactions into American or Canadian bank accounts, using American or Canadian dollars. Your Clio firm address must be set in the United States or Canada to use the LawPay Integration.
The Currency of the accepted payment would depend on the currency your LawPay account is set up in.
This article details how to accept credit card payments in Clio. For instructions on how to set up and apply for the LawPay Integration, see the "The LawPay Integration Set Up" article.
When recording payment on a Bill, select "Credit Card" from the "Source" dropdown menu. Then click "Billing information".
After selecting the source, click the "Billing information" button in the bottom left corner of the screen. You'll then need to fill in the client's credit card information to finalize the transaction.
Once you have received the payment, it will be sent for processing. Credit card processing takes 24 to 48 hours. When the payment has been successfully authorized, a notification email will be sent to all users of your Clio account that have the "Billing" permission.
For instructions on viewing the status or history of credit card payments, see the "The LawPay Integration: Payment History and Status" article.
