KCS - How to Assign Task Types When Creating/Editing a Task List

Objective:

  • Assign Task Types to individual Tasks within a Task List

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

Tasks that are already assigned to Matters will not automatically update when changes are made to the Task List template. Users will need to manually change the Task Type, or delete and re-assign the Task List to reflect the change. 

Procedure:

  1. Go to the Tasks tab
  2. Select the Task Lists subtab
  3. Click on the name of the Task List
  4. Create or Edit the Tasks:
    a. Click Add to create a new Task List
    b. or, click Edit to modify an existing Task List
  5. Fill in all required fields
  6. Open the Task Type drop-down menu
  7. Select the Task Type
  8. Click Save Task Template
