How to Add the Client's Account History To Your Bill

Objective:

  • Add Client Ledger to Bill
  • Show Account History on Bill
  • Add the Statements of Account to Bills
  • Show the Matter Operating balance in an invoice

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • If a Client has more than one matter, select Only show Trust amounts for Matters on the Bill to only show information pertaining to the Matter the Bill belongs to

Procedure:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Billing
  3. Choose Bill Themes from the sub-tab
  4. Then click into the Bill Theme you wish to amend
  5. Choose Statement of Account on the left
  6. Choose Client Account in the next column
  7. Choose how detailed you'd like account information to appear
    • "Account Details" will show all the details of funds in and out 
    • "Account Summary" will show a one-line summary of the Client's account balance
    • "Hidden" will hide all of the Client Account Information
  8. If you wish to also display the Operating Account or the Operating Account balance check off the Include Operating Account History
