How to Add An Invoice Note to a Bill?

Objective:

  • Include extra text on an Invoice
  • Add notes for your client on their bill (free text field)

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Procedure:

Note: For the Invoice note field to appear on bills, the following setting in Bill Themes must remain untouched: 

  1. Footer > Footer
  2. Show Invoice Memo box is checked
  3. Text box contains: {{bill_memo}}

After Steps are done, follow the ones below to add an invoice note to your bills: 

  1. Locate the Bill
  2. Check the box to Show invoice memo (on the left, under "Notes")
  3. Type into the box below
  4. Click outside of the box to save the changes
