KCS - How to Add An Invoice Note to a Bill

Objective:

  • Include extra text on an Invoice
  • Add notes for your client on their bill (free text field)

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

Note (Previous Clio): For the Invoice note field to appear on bills, the following default setting must remain untouched: 

  • Footer > Footer
  • Show Invoice Memo box is checked
  • Text box contains: {{bill_memo}}

Procedure:

New Clio Experience

  1. Locate the Bill
  2. Check the box to Show invoice memo (on the left, under "Notes")
  3. Type into the box below
  4. Click outside of the box to save the changes

Previous Clio

  1. Locate the Bill
  2. Click on the Edit option
  3. Type your comments into the Invoice note field at the bottom of the page
  4. Click Save Invoice
