What Does the Permissions Box Mean When Entering a Matter?

Objective:

  • Understand Matter Permissions
  • Limit Matter Visibility
  • Make Matter Visible to Everyone

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Answer:

Permissions will determine which Clio Users can view the Matter. Those without Permission will not be able to locate the Matter through searching or in the Matters list. This will also prevent them from viewing bills, and adding time to the Matter's activity tab

  • Everyone: All Users on the Account have access 
  • Group: Only Users within that Group can access (update Groups here)
  • Me: You are the only person with access
