KCS - Why Aren't the Numbers Matching When I Compare Billed Activities to Awaiting Payment Bills

Objective:

  • Total discrepancy between the Billed Activities tab for a date range and the Bills in Awaiting Payment for a date range.

Answer:

Comparing Billed Activities (Time and Expenses) within a date range to Bills in Awaiting Payment from what appears to be the same date range is not a clean comparison. Because you are filtering Bills by due date and Activities by creation date you are not comparing the same data. You may also find discrepancies caused by Activities that were updated on Bills but the Update Original Record button was not clicked.
