KCS - How to Access a List of Client Email Addresses

Objective:

What is the Difference Between the Contact Information Report and a Contact Export?

Procedure:

This information is available in both the Contact Export and the Contact Information/Client Contact Report

Contact Export

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Choose between AllPeopleCompanies, or Leads* (*Elite only)
  3. Select All ContactsClients, or Clio Connect users
  4. Optionally, use the Filter at the top-right to restrict the list based on a Custom Field or Search term
  5. Click on Export at the top of the page
  6. Select an Export Range 
  7. Choose an Output Format (PDF includes just the details visible within the list on the Contacts page, CSV includes all fields, including Custom Fields)
  8. Click Create Export
  9. Click Download

Contact Information Report

  1. Go to Reports
  2. Select Contact Information (under Matter Reports)
  3. Choose whether to include clients of All Attorneys (All Solicitors) or just those of a particular Responsible Attorney (Responsible Solicitor)
  4. Choose a factor to Group Results By (Client, Practice Area, or Attorney/Solicitor)
  5. By default, the list will only include Clients with Open Matters but you can also choose to Include Pending Matters and/or Include Closed Matters
  6. Select Practice Area to just include Clients with Matters in that area, or choose All
  7. Choose an Output Format (the same columns will be included on WebPDF and CSV)
  8. Click Generate Report
