Additional Information:

Answer:

In order to be compliant with certain bar associations and to protect firm customers, we don't allow for editing or deletions of Trust Request Payments. Clio is built to operate in multiple jurisdictions and in order to keep law firms compliant with their ethical and regulatory duties, Clio has been designed to meet the strictest standards when it comes to trust accounting. Multiple jurisdictions require that any documentation of a payment to a trust account - even if that entry was made in error - remains an auditable event. This is done to protect law firms in the event of a billing dispute that may involve trust deposits. A full record is a regulatory requirement. As this requirement exists across multiple jurisdictions, Clio has built our trust accounting to meet this strict standard.
