Additional Information:
- If you haven't generated your bill yet, please see this article on applying tax while you generate.
- If you want to adjust the tax rate on your Bill, please see this article.
- Please note, if existing bill has been Approved, you may not be able to edit it. You can instead void the bill and then generate a new one to remove the taxes from line items.
Procedure:
To Bulk Update Taxes:
- Navigate to the Bill
- Select Edit
- Select either the All, Services, or Expenses button (or individually choose the items you would like to apply tax to)
- Check the box in the upper left of the table to check all filtered items (or check the boxes for specific entries individually)
- Select the Tax 1, Tax 2 or both buttons to apply or remove Tax
- Click Save Invoice
To Update Line Item Taxes:
- Navigate to the Bill
- Select More Actions
- Select Edit
- Beside an item you would like to apply tax to, click on the "Yes" or "No" under the Tax 1 or Tax 2 columns and check or uncheck the box there.
- When you are done, click Save invoice.
