Do I need to Designate a Contact as Co-counsel if I want to Share a Matter with them?

Answer:

No. You can share a Matter with any Contact already in your Clio, .

  • You can share Matters with your co-counsel to provide them access to Contact and Matter information.  

    Note: Sharing a Matter gives access to the Matter details, client information, related contacts, notes, time entries, and communications. Documents and Bills are shared separately.

    To share a Matter with a co-counsel via Clio Connect, click the Share button at the top-right corner of the Matter.

    The Matter share modal is displayed, letting you specify who to share the Matter with and informing you of what is shared.

    Click Share and you'll be able to specify the co-counsel billing rate.

     

    Your co-counsel will receive an email inviting them to view the Matter. They can then log in and begin working in your Clio account on that Matter.
