KCS - My Client is not listed as a Billable Client

Issue:

  • My Client/Matter is not showing up under Billable Clients in the Bills tab
  • Can't find a Client who has outstanding Expenses and Time to Bill

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Internal Notes

  • If this is a Flat Fee Matter, the Flat Fee Entry may not have cache on our end. If that's the case, try editing the Matter to Hourly (removing the Flat Fee Entry), then re-editing to Flat Fee Matter

Cause:

There are a few possible causes for this:

  1. The Matter is not Billable
  2. The Matter has no Activities to Bill
  3. There is no Client associated to the Matter

Resolution:

To Add a Client to a Matter:

  1. Navigate to the Matter page
  2. Click Edit
  3. Select the appropriate client from the Client drop down menu
  4. Select Save Matter
