KCS - Cannot Change A Matter Billing State (Billable/Non-Billable) on a Flat Fee Matter That has Been Billed

Issue:

  • Cannot change the Billable State of a Flat Fee Matter that has been Billed

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Additional Information:

Cannot change status from billable to nonbillable or nonbillable to billable for Flat Fee Matters that have an invoice. This can be done in previous Clio, and can be done for contingency and hourly Matters, but not flat fee Matters. 

Cause:

Not yet diagnosed

Workaround:

Switch to previous Clio, edit the Matter (to make it Non-billable), then re-enable new Clio.
