- I want to store credit card information as a part of my retainer agreement sent through Clio Grow?
Environment:
- Clio Grow
Additional Information:

- When a Client Pays by Credit Card, Will Their Information be Stored in Clio?
Answer:
No, we do not recommend sending a Credit Card Authorization Form as a part of your retainer Agreement in Clio Grow.
It is not a PCI compliant way to capture this information as we did not build it with the intention of capturing payment information.
If you choose to collect payment information in a custom field or intake form in Clio Grow, it would be out of our PCI scope. We are PCI SAQ-A certified but our scope is when you use services like Clio Payments to directly transact funds through LawPay.
For a PCI Compliant workflow to store a client's payment method in LawPay's server to be used in Clio for future bill payments, see here.
